s o y not so good

Interesting facts about the affects of unfermented soy products!

·The soybean itself is inedible. It contains toxins meant to ward off insect predators

·These Include anti-nutrients and enzyme inhibitors that prevent your body from absorbing essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc and protein

·Soy has also been genetically modified to resist herbicides

·High Levels of Photoestrogens and Phytates

·Soy phytoestrogens mimic the body’s natural oestrogen hormones

·Soy phytoestrogens disrupt endocrine function and have the potential to cause infertility and to promote breast cancer in adult women

·Contributes to thyroid disorder, especially in women

·Weakens the immune system

·Contributes to food allergies and digestive intolerances

·Soy foods contain high levels of aluminum, which is toxic to the nervous system and the kidneys

What Soy Products are Good For You?

Soy can be incredibly healthful, but only if it is organic and properly fermented. After a long fermentation process, the phytate and "anti-nutrient" levels of soybeans are reduced, and their beneficial properties become available to your digestive system. You may have heard that Japanese people live longer as it's primarily fermented soy that they consume, like miso, tempeh, natto, and soy sauce. Tofu comes from the pressed “curds” of the soybean. The rest is thrown out – and the bad stuff along with it.
