John and Cynthia decided to give back locally by creating the Green School, a sustainable, holistic, open air school, made out of locally grown bamboo. Green Village is a community of sustainable and ecological houses sitting along the Ayung River in Bali. Each of the homes are made entirely of bamboo, from Bali-based bamboo and construction company Ibuku, from the window frames to the staircase, tables, chairs, floors, and even the cabinets and the walls.
